What are we doing here?
Sara London’s Psychodynamic Showcase is exactly what it sounds like: a chance to take psychoanalytic or psychodynamic theories and explore them in the context of our modern society. But this isn’t just about the musings of a woman fascinated by the theories or Sigmund Freud and his disciples – D.W. Winnicott. Carl Jung, Karen Horney, and Heinz Kohut, to name a few. This is about uniting a group of clinicians and non-clinicians alike who wish to have meaningful discussions about how to view the state of they world psychoanalytically.
For all those who know the unconscious, to be true – who see these ideas as a solid psychological and philosophical basis for examining humanity – this forum is for you. Bolstered and inspired by Sara’s passion for exploring therapeutic identity, subscribers will be welcome to start thought-provoking discourses based on her think pieces. Most of the posts will be psychodynamic in nature, but, of course, there’s a bit of wiggle room for philosophical insights, societal or social commentary, and other related oeuvres.
Who’s running the show?
Sara London, M.A. is a 28-year-old author, psychoanalytic personality, and freelance blogger who has been cancelled on Twitter twice, cancelled on TikTok once, and fired from Psychology Today. She produces articles and blog posts about health, wellness, psychology, business news, work/life balance, and the future of work – primarily to fund her many hare-brained schemes.
Sara earned her master's degree from NYU's Gallatin School in an individualized study program focused on psychoanalysis and performance art. She’s the former President of the Board of Directors of Greater New York Mensa – the youngest ever president and first female in 20 years. And her book, “The Performing Therapist and Authentic Therapeutic Identity: Coming Into Being,” is arriving on August 14th, 2023, thanks to the efforts of Routledge Therapy.
To join this community of likeminded lunatics and see the many scandalous psychoanalytic ideas that helped seal Sara’s unfortunate fate as a cancelled woman, click that subscribe button – pronto, I say!
